We are looking for a highly qualified, analytical, and proactive Interim Senior Business Controller, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, as well as a deep understanding of the operations within retail. – is that you.

The Company
An International Danish founded retail company, covering approx. 25 countries. The headquarter is in Greater Copenhagen, and you will experience colleagues with a creative mindset, passion and good at their craft.

The Assignment
The current Senior Business Controller will be on parental leave, and therefore need you to continue the workflow. With reference to the CFO, you will play a critical role in continuing shaping the financial future of the company. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, driving business performance, and supporting key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
Together with your team of five people, you continuously need to improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in all countries, as well as implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

You also need to:

  • Manage lead controlling of financial reporting.
  • Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Provide insightful analysis to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate may have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or another related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business controlling, or a related role.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, Excel and BI.
  • Sharp, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

You are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. You are a team player with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization and within your own team.

  • Strong communications and leadership skills
  • Great problem-solving skills and strong conflict management skills
  • Acquaintance with internal policies such as ESG/SDG.
  • The corporate language is English.
