We are looking for an experienced Finance Director with international experience from corporate functions for a very exciting and challenging assignment in a large European company. The Business Unit has its head office in Jutland.
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: End of 2023
Location: Jutland with expected travel – 20% of the time.
The Company
Our customer is a large international industrial group which has subsidiaries in several countries, including Denmark. The Company in Denmark is part of a large BU, and the main office of the BU with BU functions is located in Denmark, while the BU has activities in the US, Poland, Spain, and China.
The Finance Director is responsible for the 3 Finance Managers responsible for country specific activities and a total team of 13 people. The Finance Director is part of the BU leadership team consisting of 3 Managers.
Our customer is looking for the permanent solution and it has been decided to engage an interim solution to fulfil the role until the future setup is secured.
The Project
As part of the leadership team, the Financial Director is responsible for the financial management and planning of the Business Unit, by leading a skilled and motivated team and ensuring the overall control of all financial aspect and for implementing the best recommendations with the most profitable outcome.
Overall responsibilities are:
- Coordinate, manage, support, and motivate BU Finance team, ensuring the fulfilment of requested tasks.
- Providing financial support and insights to support critical business decisions.
- Guarantee accurate accounting and reporting activities, consolidating data for all BU entities, and providing the information to the main stakeholders (Business Leaders, Corporate, et.) with the requested detail and quality, on time scheduling (monthly and annual reporting, etc.)
- Manage budgeting and forecasting process ensuring the accurate and timely consolidation of BU entities; guarantee budget monitoring through the proper set of KPI’s.
- Cash Flow management
- Financial controlling.
The Candidate
We are looking for a very internationally experienced finance director with a minimum of 10 years of experience and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or other relevant field.
Experience with the following areas is important:
- Working in an international company with BU reporting and interaction – most likely with experience from reporting to a corporate office.
- Experience from a manufacturing company
- Mastering all relevant subsystems of the Finance role
- Able to act in a matrix organization with many stakeholders.
Personal skillsets:
- Independent with ability to maintain a helicopter view,
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Ability to make important decisions under pressure.
