On behalf of our customer we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager/Chief Accountant to be responsible for the company’s finance department during a transformation period.
Start: A.S.A.P.
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: Central Jutland
The Assignment
The company is through a transformation. The present Finance Manager has decided to pursue new challenges outside the company and until a conclusion of the future setup has been reached, our customer has decided to engage an experienced and skilled interim Manager for handling the Finance Department with around 10 employees.
Referring to the CFO the Finance Manager will assume overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the finance department and reporting.
The responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports covering all activities of the company.
- Continuously reconciliation of accounts, month-end closure procedures
- Deviation analysis and follow up on causal explanations
- Preparation of documentation and collaboration with internal as well as external audit
- Control and settlement with public authorities
- Participation in optimization of cross organizational processes
- Compliance with internal control procedures
- Managing and development of the 10 employees in the finance department
Professional Profile
The right candidate has a minimum of 8 years’ experience from working as Finance Manager/Chief Accountant in similar companies, including:
- Experience from working in international companies.
- Strong accountancy and finance management skills with a good toolbox.
- Good experience with statutory reporting.
- Experience with management reporting to local management as well as to corporate headquarters.
- Experience with developing and implementing efficient processes and procedures within finance management.
- Good knowledge of or experience with Danish accountancy standards as well as IFRS.
- People management experience and skills
- Good Experience with ERP systems
The right candidate probably has a Bachelor or Masters’ Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
Fluent English, verbally as well as written

Our customer is a big service provider/trading company with many locations in Denmark. The company is part of a large international group. In Denmark there are around 300 employees and a turnover of more than DKK 2.5 billion.
