Lead the stabilization, transformation, and integration of a market-leading service and project-based business during a critical phase of organizational development. We are seeking a hands-on Interim COO with strong operational leadership and proven transformation expertise.

Our client is a leading international provider of environmental, project-based sales and deliveries, infrastructure, and maintenance services, operating across multiple European markets. Through a series of acquisitions, the company has built a strong position in Denmark, with some +DKR 1 billion in turnover, +900 employees, and is now fully focused on the continued integration and realization of synergies, operational performance, and future profitable growth.
The Assignment
The Interim COO will play a key role in stabilizing the organization, building trust among employees and stakeholders, and ensuring continued operational and commercial performance. The assignment includes leading integration efforts, enhancing transparency, supporting business growth, and driving performance across both service and project-based operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible and decisive leadership during a period of organizational transition.
- Stabilize operations, teams, client relationships, and key stakeholder engagement.
- Drive a strong “One Team – One Goal” culture across the organization.
- Lead strategic client relationships and support business development activities.
- Secure performance and growth within service & maintenance operations.
- Support project and construction-related business areas to realize current and future opportunities.
- Establish KPI-driven performance management and operational transparency.
- Lead post-merger integration initiatives and help create one unified Danish organization.
- Ensure clear reporting, governance, and alignment with Group management.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced Managing Director, COO, Business Unit Leader, or similar senior executive with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong background in project-based B2B services, construction, infrastructure, installation, or related operational environments.
- Proven track record of delivering profitable growth and operational transformation.
- Experience of private equity-backed businesses (or similar) and post-merger integrations.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including large projects, pricing, forecasting, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing organizations and leadership teams.
- Pragmatic, hands-on, low-ego leader with a strong execution mindset and clear/true way of communicating.
- Fluent in Danish and English
