ALUnited in Tønder, is looking for a Plant Controller who thrives at the intersection of finance and operations and who wants to act as an active and visible sparring partner to both plant management and the group organization.
The Role
This role is for someone who is not looking for a traditional controller position behind a desk, but who is motivated by being close to production and gaining a deep understanding of the business. You will become a central part of the day-to-day operations at the plant and will be responsible for ensuring transparency in manufacturing costs, delivering reliable financial reporting, and supporting management decision-making in an environment with high demands for quality, structure, and reliability.
As Plant Controller, you will work closely with plant management and operations while also being strongly connected to Group Finance at European level. This gives you both local influence and an international perspective. You will report solid line to the CFO, Europe, and dotted line to the Plant General Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall financial follow-up of the plant. This includes developing and maintaining robust manufacturing cost models, monthly closing and management reporting, analysis of variances and trends, as well as ongoing forecasting and decision support. You will actively contribute to strengthening internal controls and financial processes and work closely with production, supply chain, and Group Finance. In addition, you will play an important role in supporting and further developing ERP-related processes, where experience with Dynamics is an advantage.

Your Background
We imagine that you hold a relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and have experience in controlling within a manufacturing environment. You are used to working closely with operations and management and have a solid understanding of the connection between numbers, processes, and business. You work in a structured manner, take natural ownership, and thrive in a hands-on role. You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
Experience with manufacturing costing, ERP systems, and a strong accounting background is considered an advantage.
