We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance with international experience from corporate functions for a very exciting and challenging assignment in a large European company who is a global market leader within their line of industry. The Business Unit office is located in southeast of Jutland.
Starting date: Monday, June 17th 2024
Duration: 4 – 6 months
Location: Jutland with expected travel – 20% of the time.
The Company
Our client is a larger international industrial company. The company in Denmark is part of a large BU with a total team of 5 Finance Managers in total with a team of 12 people in EMEA and US.
The company has decided to engage an interim solution on a 4–6 month period of time until a permanent Head of Finance is recruited and mobilized.
The Project
There is a need for an operational and tactically oriented Interim Manager with extensive practical experience in production, supply chain, and financial support for the company’s commercial initiatives.
One of the primary responsibilities of the Head of Finance is to provide a deep understanding of the drivers of financial performance and variances between budget, forecast, and actual numbers. This includes the crucial task of delivering clear written explanations of variances, which are essential for group reporting and communication with key stakeholders.
Overall responsibilities are:
- Financial Management and Planning
- Overall Financial Control with Accurate Accounting and Reporting
- Team Coordination and Motivation
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting assumptions with key stakeholders inside and outside the finance department
- Monitor the budget through proper KPIs to ensure consistent and reliable financial reporting
- Quality and Efficiency Improvement
The Candidate
We are looking for an internationally experienced Head of Finance with a minimum of 10 years financial leadership and an adequate high-level education at Master’s level in a relevant field, probably Finance.
The candidate should have industrial manufacturing company background with deep knowledge of inventory valuations, manufacturing cost accounting, product margin analysis and standard cost accounting.
Experience with the following areas is important:
- Proven track record in building high-performing organizations and being an experienced manager with significant business experience, ideally gained in a business of similar complexity covering multiple locations and operationally diverse functions.
- Experience with all disciplines in a finance function at a global manufacturing company.
- Experience with reporting to a corporate function.
- Manage and provide situational leadership in a matrix organisation with global customers, business units, and globalised support functions.
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Mastering all relevant subsystems of the Finance role.
- Experience with Oracle will be an advantage
