The Company
The company, a leader in microbiological manufacturing and distribution, seeks an experienced interim Head of Operations, for its Danish site.  They are at the forefront of developing and providing innovative diagnostic solutions. The work impacts millions, offering better healthcare outcomes through accurate diagnosis.

They committed to operational excellence, sustainability, and innovation and as a part of the strategic expansion and commitment to excellence, they are looking for a Head of Operations to lead the production and operational activities in Denmark.

The Assignment
With Reference to the CEO, you will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Danish organization’s operations and production. This includes the leadership of the Culture Media and production, technical department, animal farm), Supply Chain, and site leadership with close interaction with local leaders and functional leads based in Denmark.

As an approach to the assignment as Head of Operations, you will act as production manager together with the current production manager during the first 3-6 months in order to get familiar with the entire organization. The aim is that after this period you will take over as Head of Operation with the responsibilities describes below.

Key Responsibilities
Daily operation and supervision of the culture media and the IVD productions and collaborate closely with the manager of IVD production team and of Culture Media

Flag potential impacts on commercial products and ensure to serve the customers with products of the right high quality, at the right time.


  • Responsible for 2 sites in DK
  • Contribute to the supply chain is run at a highly competitive cost and capital level and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain and manufacturing operations, maintaining high operational efficiency.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring optimal staffing and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the manufacturing site in your area operates efficiently, is stable, and fully compliant with ISO and QC standards.
  • Safeguard that the factory is a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Develop and mentor the Operations & Production leadership team towards excellence and supervise the working relationship between all the global functions to ensure a strong collaboration serving the matrix organization.
  • Work together with relevant teams on budget forecasts & analysis and in close collaboration with Finance and ensure open and timely communication concerning projects and global strategic outlook.

Candidate Profile

  • We are looking for the interim manager who has a minimum 10 years of experience, running a successful operation, within the manufacturing industries. You are a proactive results-oriented team player, with strong interpersonal skills. You enjoy and understand working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • It is a MUST that you have an education as well as experience within Life Science
  • Experience with IVD production.


  • Strong communications and Senior level of management leadership skills
  • Ability to manage a large budget and forecasts pro-actively & successfully.
  • Experience in large international corporations, ability to work and lead in a smaller agile cooperation.
  • Great problem-solving skills and strong conflict management skills
