We have a very exciting and challenging assignment as Project Manager for moving a big warehouse from two locations combining into one for a very interesting international company.

The Company
Our customer is a big service provider with several locations in Denmark. The company is going through major optimization changes and one of them is related to the warehouse organization and handling. For logistic efficiency reasons, it has been decided to move two warehouses and combine them into one unit in a new location. Our customer has decided to engage an interim manager as Project Manager for the project.

The role covers both transition of all processes, administrative tasks, significant stakeholder management as well as physical transport issues.

The Assignment       
The Interim Project Manager will report to the Global Logistic Manager and will be fully responsible on a day-to-day basis for the project.

The role will also include leading different workshops to secure business continuity during the relocation process to the new location.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project objectives within
    • Operations
    • Supply Chain
    • Logistics
    • IT (with help from IT)
    • Legal (with help from lawyers)
    • External logistics service providers
  • Planning and organizing project tasks
  • Monitoring progress and status reporting to stakeholders
  • Documentation of all processes and specific project progress as a basis for creating a “manual” for use in future similar projects
  • Responsibility for all stakeholder management with various stakeholders
  • Analyze and identify logistic optimization possibilities in other Scandinavian countries

The Candidate       
We are looking for a very experienced Project Manager with relevant experience from managing moving businesses operations including both administrative and operational processes and physical transformation from one location to another.

Strong project management experience and documented good results from managing similar projects being responsible for the overall project.

A background within Supply Chain and Operations will be an advantage as well as knowledge of/experience with business processes, administrative tasks, relevant IT, and legal matters.

Further requirements:

  • Strong personality with natural leadership skills
  • Organized, structured and process driven
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong experience with MS office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong business knowledge
  • Fluent in Danish and English – speaking and writing

Start date: As soon as possible
Duration: 3-6 months with possible extension
